Mermaid Hair

Channel your inner mermaid with ocean-inspired braids, signature textures, and customizable accents. Each session is a freestyle experience where we design a look that flows with your unique vibe and energy. 

We braid by appointment only — check the calendar for available dates.

Washing/Shampooing/Conditioning services are currently NOT offered. If you don’t see a time that works, feel free to drop us a line and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

BOOKING INFO:

A $30 non-refundable booking deposit is required to book an appointment and goes to the Mendocino Mermaids nonprofit. 

• This amount goes toward the total cost of your service.
  
• The remaining balance will be paid directly to the stylist at the appointment. The remaining balance is due in CASH, or can be paid electronically through the app via Square. Sorry, NO personal checks or money orders.
  
• All sales are non-refundable once styles are completed. Prices subject to change without notice. Hourly rates are a minimum 1 hour, then rounded to the nearest half hour. 

HAIR PREP REQUIREMENTS:

All clients MUST arrive with clean, freshly washed hair.
Hair must be: Washed, Blow dried, Completely combed out, Free of any product, at least 4" long

Properly detangled means one can run my fingers and/or a comb directly through your hair without any problems. Failure to follow these rules will result in: Refusal of services and/or A $50 detangling fee.

POLICIES

⏰ Punctuality
Please be on time. A 10-minute grace period is given. After 10 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and a new deposit will be required to reschedule.

🔁 Cancellations

• If you cancel 24 hours or more in advance, you may reschedule once using the same booking fee.
• Less than 24 hours notice → deposit is forfeited.
• Reminders are sent out the day/evening prior to a scheduled appointment. 
• Clients must confirm by 9pm (the day before the appointment) to guarantee the appointment.

DISCOUNTS
10% Discount on all SERVICES for anyone whose birthday is in the current month (ID Required for verification). It is the client’s responsibility to inform the stylist that they qualify to receive the discount.

• Consultations (Q&A, Ideas, Product Info, etc.), $45/hour
• 2hr freestyle session with Mermaid Pearl, $250 (includes natural and/or colorful hair)
• Braid Removal, $50/hour

(Add-ons are purchased separately and applied to your appointment.)

• Boho Curly Hair Add in — + $25
• Shells or Charms — +30 minutes @ $25
• Beads or Feathers — +30 minutes @ $25
• Detangling — + 30 minutes @ $50
• Squeeze In/After Hours Appointment — +$100

TRAVEL APPOINTMENTS
We can bring the Mermaid Magic to you for festivals, events, photoshoots, or private sessions. Suggested travel pricing:

• Fort Bragg / Mendocino: +$25
• Mendocino Coast (Caspar → Elk): +$40
• Ukiah / Anderson Valley: +$60
• Out-of-County Events: Starting at $100 (based on mileage + time)
