Meet Instructor Mermaid Pearl
Mermaid Pearl brings both artistry and joy to the shoreline.
She was trained by world-renowned sand sculptor Lucinda “Sandy Feet” Wierenga, learning the techniques that turn ordinary sand into towers, walls, and storybook details.
With a BA in Advertising & Public Relations, concentration in Art, Mermaid Pearl blends creative vision with clear, engaging instruction that works for all ages.
Add to that 20+ years of being a full-time beach bum, and you’ve got an instructor who understands tides, textures, timing, and the simple magic of building something beautiful by the sea.
Her teaching style is playful, encouraging, and confidence-boosting. Whether it’s your first sand tower or your first carved window, Mermaid Pearl helps every builder leave the beach proud, sandy, and smiling.
✨ Come build with a Mermaid who knows both the craft and the coast.
💳 Booking, Deposit & Payment Policy
To reserve your sand castle experience, a $30 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.
How Payment Works
The $30 deposit secures your date and time and supports the Mendocino Mermaids’ work.
The remaining balance is paid directly to your instructor on the day of your session (cash, Venmo, or other agreed method).
This helps us keep bookings flexible while ensuring instructors are fairly compensated.
